Crown Daisy Farm is a 2 acre intensive vegetable farm located in Staatsburg, NY. We sell directly to chefs locally and in New York City. Our mission is to grow delicious, beautiful produce with growing practices that emphasize soil health, biodiversity, and resiliency. We use a low-tillage system with permanent beds and a small tractor for bed prep. Hand tools are used for cultivation and transplanting.

Job description

This is a full-time position, 5 days/week, Monday-Friday. Hours will generally be 8am-4pm, but may vary slightly throughout the season and with the weather. The position starts at the end of March through November. At least one season of farming experience is preferred. Pay is $18-20/hr, depending on experience.

Duties:

• Bed prep
• Transplanting
• Direct seeding
• Greenhouse Propagation
• Harvesting
• Washing and packing
• Cultivating
• Maintaining an organized work area
• Some general grounds maintenance

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $20.00
