Job description
We are looking for a Fleet Dispatcher superstar to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, strong logistical knowledge, and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable managing time-sensitive delivery operations, anticipating issues before they arise, and driving continuous improvement in dispatch and customer experience workflows.
Main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all drivers before and during deliveries.
- Facilitate daily driver check-ins and confirm readiness for departure.
- Oversee and assist with driver load-ups, ensuring: All orders are present, correctly labeled, and loaded in the proper sequence. Drivers understand delivery expectations & special instructions. Proactively identify and resolve issues during the load-up process, including missing items, labeling discrepancies, or last-minute order changes.
- Manage real-time dispatch communications throughout the delivery window via delivery software, phone, and messaging tools.
- Troubleshoot delivery issues as they arise, including delays, access problems, customer availability issues, or driver questions.
- Handle driver no-shows or delays by escalating appropriately and implementing contingency plans
- Accurately log all delivery and dispatch issues in internal systems for tracking and follow-up.
- Identify recurring dispatch or load-up issues and suggest process improvements to reduce errors and improve on-time delivery performance.
Customer service:
- Assist customers with their questions, concerns, and requests via phone call, text message & email consistent with brand voice
- Communicate customer concerns to appropriate teams to effect necessary change and prevent recurrence of undesired customer experiences
- Review declined order charges and ensure reconciled payments enter fulfillment workflow
- Assist with miscellaneous printing, spreadsheet formatting, office tasks as required
Candidate should have:
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish at an intermediate level
- Comfort speaking on the phone with customers
- Advanced Excel/Google sheets and other online software skills
- Ability to take initiative, identify and resolve issues, and support a positive and professional work environment
- Ability to learn multiple internal systems & processes quickly
- A detail-oriented work ethic with a deliberate pace
- A love of learning & the ability to keep up with a constantly changing environment
- A motivated, positive, and empathetic attitude
COMPENSATION
This position is paid: $20-22 per hour (after 2 week training at $19/h)
