Kismet Rotisserie is a fast-casual restaurant with 4 locations and is part of the Kismet restaurant group, based in Los Angeles. Our menu focuses on rotisserie chicken, crispy potatoes and vegetable sides, as well as sandwiches, salads, and sweets. It is healthy, comforting and ultra-fresh everyday food, fully made from scratch in-house daily. We source as much as possible from local farms and do our best to incorporate sustainability into our practices, while also maintaining affordability for our customers and creating a positive work environment for our employees.
We are a high volume restaurant, doing a significant amount of take out and catering and we take our approach to quality and integrity very seriously.

Job Summary
This role is responsible for safely transporting and distributing food and non-market products between market and restaurant locations while upholding quality, food safety, and operational standards. The position requires operating a delivery vehicle, accurately packing, labeling, and handling products to prevent loss or waste, and maintaining clear communication with market leadership, restaurant teams, and external purveyors.
*Schedule: Wednesday and Saturday mornings. 15-20 hrs per week*
Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities
● Maintain an up to date driver’s license.
● Feel comfortable driving a large delivery van, and drive it safely.
● Drive to markets and distribute product correctly to restaurant locations.
● Transfer non-market goods and food products between locations.
● Load/pack transport vehicle and handle all product correctly so as to avoid waste/spills/loss.
● Label all items correctly so they are distributed at their appropriate destination.
● Uphold food and safety standards.
● Quality control all purchases.
● Build and maintain positive working relationships with both on site teams as well as farmers/purveyors.
● Communicate with Market Manager and restaurant teams clearly and efficiently.
Be able to fill in for Market Manager as needed with an understanding of the following:
● Weekly invoicing.
● Regular communication with ordering teams regarding bi-weekly orders and market changes/availability.
● Maintain current food costs, and communicate cost concerns to management.
● Constantly strive for better pricing/quality within the markets.
● Timely response to all communications from management/ownership.
● Constantly strive to improve current systems and put into place new ones for the sake of better and more efficient operations.
● Source and update management teams on new and exciting products.
● Properly track off-site work hours and breaks and report to management weekly.
● Oversee proper training of all new market staff, including but not limited to sourcing/buying, proper product handling, proper packing technique to avoid spills/loss, labeling and distributing between the locations correctly.
Minimum Qualifications
● Must have a basic understanding of produce and seasonality, and some knowledge of food growing systems.
● Must be physically able to transport and carry heavy items for several hours each shift.
● Must be able to drive long distances.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
