Job description
We’re looking for a Line Cook / Kitchen Assistant who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about thoughtful food execution. This role is centered on prepping and assembling menu items including soups, salads, sandwiches, and seasonal café offerings. While maintaining a clean, calm, and efficient kitchen and customer-facing environment.
This is a hands-on support role that helps bring Heated’s elevated yet approachable menu to life, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and care across both the kitchen and café space.
Key Responsibilities
Food Prep & Assembly
- Prepare and assemble café menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Execute daily prep lists efficiently to support smooth service
- Portion, label, and store prepared items properly
Menu Execution & Quality Control
- Maintain consistency in presentation, flavor, and portioning
- Support inclusive menu offerings (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan) with care and attention to cross-contamination protocols
Kitchen Cleanliness & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
- Follow food safety, storage, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and end-of-day cleaning tasks as needed
Customer Space Maintenance
- Help maintain the cleanliness and visual order of the customer-facing café space
- Reset tables, tidy shelves, and support an inviting atmosphere aligned with Heated’s brand
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with bakers, kitchen leads, and front-of-house staff to support daily service
- Communicate clearly around prep needs, inventory levels, and workflow
Inventory & Prep Support
- Assist with ingredient prep, stocking, and basic inventory awareness
- Flag low items or prep needs to kitchen leadership in a timely manner
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15.49 - 20/hr
