Job description

We are seeking hard working, cheese loving, fun-to-be-around people to join our very small team + to help keep our shop running smoothly. Must be passionate about artisan cheese, and enjoy talking to + educating customers about the products we carry. Food prep, dish washing, cleaning, + light cooking required. We are currently looking to fill shifts Tuesday - Friday, 10:30am - 3:30pm.

Duties:

• Facilitate timely opening + closing of the shop
• Treat customers + community members with care, respect, + thoughtfulness
• Receive, unpack, price, + organize inventory.
• Maintain restocks / inventory + keep retail items clean and tidy
• Maintain a clean + organized shop space, including both retail + kitchen
• Adhere to organizational + cleaning systems, implementing new systems as needed
• Prepare lunch items + beverages with care + attention to detail
• Cut + wrap cheese according to size. Facilitate sampling + education
• Safe operation of meat slicer + slicer cleanliness
• Maintain a clean + organized cheese case + retail refrigerator
• Assist with catering / event food prep + clean-up as necessary
• Ensure daily dishes are clean + put away
• Delivery of local orders, as needed
• Event support, as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds + stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in hot temperatures, shop does not have AC
• Food handling certificate (will provide class if not certified)
• Valid driver’s license preferred, not required
• Work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timeliness
• Perform job functions with attention to detail and accuracy
• Work hard and be nice to people

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
