Company description
Cait on a Plate is a small, growing catering company specializing in niche corporate catering. We strive to create and maintain a highly personalized and intimate catering experience. We are looking for individuals who want to grow with the team and with our clients. In a diverse workplace, we aim to focus on creating a sense of family through our cooking. We love our work, our staff and our clients and are looking for another team member who is professional and has a genuine interest in the people we’re feeding and the food being served. We strive to help people feed off of each other just as much as the food they are eating and are looking for a team member who can be a part of this mission for the long term.
Job description
Full-Time Culinary & Client Experience Team Member
(Monday–Friday, mornings to early afternoons)
We are a small, niche corporate catering company looking to add a friendly, food-savvy team member to our weekday operations. This role blends light food preparation with front-facing service and client interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both hospitality and cooking.
Schedule
• Monday–Friday
• Approximately 7:00am–3:00pm (hours may vary slightly)
About the Role
This is a highly social, client-facing position. You’ll be interacting closely with our corporate clientele while helping prepare and serve daily breakfasts and lunches. We’re looking for someone who is personable, confident, and genuinely enjoys engaging with people—someone who can represent our brand just as well as they can handle a knife.
What We’re Looking For
• Prior front-of-house experience (server, bartender, café counter, food service, etc.)
• Friendly, professional, and a strong conversationalist
• Comfortable working directly with clients in a polished corporate environment
• Solid foundational food knowledge
• Experience with basic food prep and knife skills
• Ability to follow direction but also think on your feet
• Comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit team
Nice to Have
• Interest in expanding your cooking and food preparation skills
• Curiosity about different cuisines and flavor profiles
• Experience plating or serving food in a customer-facing setting
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a typical back-of-house prep job. The social element is essential. You’ll be a visible part of the experience we provide, interacting daily with clients who value great food and great people.
If you enjoy hospitality, take pride in food, and like being part of a small team where your personality matters, we’d love to hear from you.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $64,350 - $75,000
