Sales Associate – Columbia Greenmarket
Location: Columbia Greenmarket
Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $16.50/hour + 3% commission on gross sales
Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Sales Associate to represent our brand at the Columbia Greenmarket. This role is customer-facing and ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the public, selling high-quality products, and working in a lively outdoor market environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and break down the market booth, including products, signage, and displays
Greet customers and provide knowledgeable, friendly service
Educate customers about our products, sourcing, and brand story
Actively sell products and drive sales throughout the market day
Accurately process cash and digital payments
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing booth
Track inventory and communicate sales or restocking needs
Represent the company professionally and enthusiastically at all times
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with sales and customer interaction
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
Previous retail, farmers market, or sales experience is a plus (but not required)
Compensation & Perks:
$16.50/hour base pay
3% commission on gross sales
