Job description
We’re looking for a part-time Kitchen Assistant to join a creative, high-energy kitchen that creates beautiful seasonal food for events and curated meal delivery. This is a very flexible, supplemental role—perfect for someone with a cooking background interested in supplemental work who loves farmers markets, great food, and wants to be part of a growing business.
The Basics
Hours: ~6–15 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible and varied (prep days Sunday evenings and Monday early mornings + occasional events)
Location: Culver City
Type: Part-time / supplemental
What You’ll Be Doing
Cooking and assisting with food prep for events and weekly meal prep production
Helping bring events to life (setup, service support, breakdown)
Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly
Packing, labeling, and organizing food with an artistic eye and attention to detail
Working alongside a passionate, supportive team that values quality
You’re a Great Fit If You
Love farmers markets, seasonal food, holistic nutrition, and cooking
Have kitchen or cooking experience (prep cook, line cook, catering, culinary school, or private chef background)
Enjoy working in a fast-moving but relaxed, respectful kitchen
Are dependable, detail-oriented, able to wear many hats, and take pride in your work
Enjoy variety—no two days or events are exactly the same
Are looking to join a business in an early stage of growth
Have flexibility for occasional evening or weekend events and potentially travel
Bonus Points
Event, catering, and/or culinary school experience
Previous work in a different food related field
Current or past portfolio of beautiful food that you make

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $17.00 - $25.00
