Colette Bread & Bakeshop is a female owned and operated neighborhood bakery specializing in sourdough breads, small batch pastry, and a limited coffee menu. We offer our products wholesale, retail, at farmer's markets, and we also host cooking classes in our cozy space in the evenings. We are busy busy particularly on the weekends and we are looking for someone who is down to work hard, work clean, and work well within a small team.
Job description
We are looking for a Morning Baker
Hours 4am-12pm (4-5 days a week)
Responsibilities include
- baking off pastry + bread for our wholesale clients and retail case.
- Packing and organizing our orders for our wholesale clients
- Mising + Mixing Pastry + Bread products as needed
- Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen
- Having enthusiasm and a hustle each day
- We are a small kitchen, so you must enjoy a bit of a puzzle like bakeoff (what comes first, what should be prepped while another item is baking off, etc)
- Working well with other team member
Day Layout:
- 4-8am Bakeoff
- 8-11:30 : prep work
- 11:30-12pm cleanup/organization
- (all full time employees utilize an unpaid 30 minute break)
Ideal Candidate :
- has 1 + years in a professional baking environment or kitchen
- Values timeliness, efficiency, learning to scale, cleanliness, and teamwork
- Can take direction well and retain information (i.e. taking notes is your favorite!)
- Is self motivated and a problem solver

Pay: is based on experience. We pay a training rate for the first 2 weeks of employment with an automatic increase and tip payout after 2 weeks. After 60 days, performance will be reviewed, san increase in pay will be assessed.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
