Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Cut and wrap cheese and charcuterie to order and for grab & go case
• Pack out and stock all cheeses, jams, honeys, dried fruits and nuts and other accoutrements
• Make fresh mozzarella daily for retail sale and in house production
• Keep all cases fully stocked and abundant at all times, utilizing FIFO
• Perform daily quality control on all products, keeping them attractive and in good condition
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards as defined by the DOA at all times
• Accurately receive and record deliveries, keeping storage areas organized
• Provide excellent customer service with in-depth knowledge of all products sold at the counter
• Cut and wrap cheese to order for online sales and assist with catering platters
• Keep the beer fridge and floor displays fully stocked and abundant at all times
• Maintain accurate and attractive signage for all items
• Communicate with Cheese Manager when equipment needs to be ordered and serviced
• Assist in providing content for social media in collaboration with the Marketing Department
• Work as a team with other departments and counters to provide assistance when needed
• Assist with accurate and timely quarterly inventory counts as designated by the General Manager
• Attend annual all staff meeting as well as any staff classes or tastings of new products

Requirements:

• Passion for cheese and charcuterie with a focus on excellent customer service
• Ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours, walk up/down stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Detail oriented with an ability to multitask under pressure
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• A strong work ethic & positive attitude with a desire to taste and learn!

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $17.00 - $20.00
