We make each and every pie with love and from scratch. We start with an all butter pie crust, mix in our real fruit fillings, and top it all off with an irresistible crumble topping. Whether it's our classics like apple and blueberry, or our innovative flavors like peanut butter fluff, we simply make the best pies.
Job description
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented production assistant to work with our small team for 10-15 hours/week. The production assistant will work in the shared commercial kitchen alongside the business owner to prep mini pies. This includes: making pie dough, forming crusts, prepping fillings, assembling pies, and baking. This person will be the Big Little Pies first employee, so we're looking for someone that is willing to learn, take on new responsibilities, and to grow with the business. Kitchen experience is a plus but not required!
Key Responsibilities:
Scaling & Prep: Accurately measure and weigh ingredients for large-scale recipes.
Production Support: Assist in prepping, shaping, and creating pies.
Oven Management: Monitor bake times and temperatures to ensure perfect golden-brown results every time.
Kitchen Upkeep: Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation. This includes washing equipment and cleaning floors.
Note: While Big Little Pies is looking to fill a part-time position, there are other businesses based out of Commonwealth Kitchen looking for additional support. If you are looking for more hours, we may be able to accommodate a shared position across businesses.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
