Job description
This position is a part-time, seasonal (March through November) position. Shifts are mainly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, although special events may be available on weekdays. The successful applicant should be available to work at least four shits per month. Shifts may be weather-dependent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Dodon seeks to provide its community with an elegant, impeccable, warm, and familiar experience. The Off-site Market Representative will work with the management team to represent The Vineyards at Dodon at various off-site markets, selling wines by the bottle and glass, and inviting attendees to visit the vineyard.
Specific Tasks will Include:
• Market Logistics: Loading, transporting, and unloading materials, including folding tables, cases of wine, promotional materials, service tools like registers, wine openers, chillers, glasses, décor, etc; Keeping materials tidy and organized, recognizing when additional materials are needed; Complying with market regulations;
• Customer Service: Answering questions, offering sample tastes of wines; Selling glasses and bottles of wine; Utilizing POS system, mobile hotspots and chargers
• Sales: Presenting farming information; Managing cash box, keep accurate cash sales records; Signing up wine club members; Inviting guests and scheduling appointments to visit the vineyard
Qualifications
• Exceptional customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance, warm and hospitable spirit, ability to solve problems and use creativity; commitment to excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work unsupervised
• Professional presentation skills
• Willingness to learn about wine and viticulture
• Willingness to receive alcohol certification training
Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds across broad terrain
• Work is completed mostly outside during warm to hot summer months. Applicants must be able to work outdoors in heat and humidity for 9 hours per day. Time indoors is limited
• Careful attention to detail and inventory management is essential
• Team member will drive to market in own car, mileage will be reimbursed
Compensation
• This position will be paid at an hourly rate
• Employees may not accept gratuity following The Vineyards at Dodon’s gratuity policy
• Employees will receive a discount on wine and food purchases
Employment with The Vineyards at Dodon is subject to a probationary period of three months from the date of your first day of work. During this time, your performance will be evaluated and performance reviews may be conducted to assess your progress and provide feedback. At any point, you can ask for feedback on your performance. At the end of your probationary period, we will discuss the fit of your employment at The Vineyards at Dodon. The company reserves the right to terminate your employment at any time, including during the probationary period.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $15.00 - $22.00
