Job description

Wildscape Design currently seeks a professional and dependable Gardener for our Seasonal Landscape Crew who is interested in working outdoors in Vermont, and is committed to creating and managing landscapes that improve people’s lives and benefit Vermont's ecology.

The Landscape Gardener is a horticulturist and a garden builder. You will execute daily landscape and garden operations for our clients, and you will be a critical member of the landscape crew and work closely with the company owner’s.

Daily garden tasks include including weeding, pruning, dividing, transplanting, staking and watering. You will also be part of new garden implementation, including sod removal, spreading compost, planting plants and mulching. This is a garden crew position- not a mow crew- with a focus on fine horticulture that is based in plant knowledge and care. Wildscape Design uses organic practices (no pesticides!) with an emphasis on soil care.

Wildscape Design can train the right person who is interested in learning about plants, gardens and running a small business.

This Seasonal position lasts from approximately April 1, 2026 - Oct 31, 2026.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $27.00
