Company description

We raise pasture-raised organic chicken, pasture-raised organic pork, 100% grass-fed beef, and maple syrup on our family farm in the Adirondacks. Our farm is situated in the Reber Valley – nestled between the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York and the Lake Champlain Valley of Vermont.

We provide home delivery locally and across the US. We have an on-farm store, sell at local farmers markets, hold on-farm music and food events and cultivate transformational retreats.

Internship description

Schedule and Commitment

Start date: flexible; preferably before June 1st.

End date: flexible; preferably til at least August 23rd

Be willing to work in multiple areas of the business.

Be willing to learn.

Working solo and in a team with animals, at farmers markets, managing inventory and working in a fast-paced meat processing environment with a diverse team of people.

Weekly hours: 40-50 hr/wk. One weekend day included.

What success looks like

Within 30 days: you can execute regularly assigned tasks with minimal support and an aligned attitude and have completed on-boarding + tech introductions

Within 90 days: you can forecast your task schedule for the following week, and deliver consistently aligned results

Ongoing: participates actively in team meetings and responsive on slack.

Long-term, year-round opportunities: you support company vision, mission and values with your own unique purpose.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $16.00 - $20.00
