Job description
We’re looking for a hands-on Manager to run the show at The Rolling Cones. This is a seasonal leadership role (May-October), based primarily at Kingston Standard Brewing Co., plus pop-ups and events around the Hudson Valley.
This role is ideal for someone who knows ice cream (soft serve especially) and feels at home leading a small but mighty crew. You’ll run tight, joyful shifts, keep the soft-serve machine humming, manage inventory, and make sure every cone that leaves the window is gorgeous.
You’ll be the face of the brand on the ground – equal parts operator, leader, and vibe-setter.
Applicants should be available for the full season May-October (or the vast majority of it). Approximately 30 hours per week, with weekend availability required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Who You Are:
- You have prior experience working in ice cream or frozen dessert operations (soft serve experience strongly preferred)
- You’ve led shifts or teams before, even in a small or informal setting
- You’re organized, reliable, and calm under pressure
- You genuinely love hospitality and connecting with people
- You bring positive energy – and can be trusted with the playlist
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and run day-to-day shifts, ensuring smooth service and a consistently excellent guest experience
- Set expectations around hospitality, cleanliness, efficiency, and brand standards
- Clean the soft-serve machine weekly
- Manage inventory ordering, receiving, storage, and tracking
- Serve beautifully assembled cones, cups, and sundaes
- Embody our philosophy of radical generosity and community-minded hospitality
- Keep the trailer running with good energy, good music, and good vibes
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
