Oregon Road Organics is a certified organic specialty produce farm located in Cutchogue on Long Island’s North Fork. Founded in 2019, we are a family owned and operated farm. Since our founding, we have expanded to grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables. Our farm operates with a commitment to sustainable, healthy practices including crop rotation, cover cropping, and Integrated Pest Management.
We sell wholesale organic produce across Long Island and Brooklyn, run a CSA program with around 150 families, and participate in several community Farmers Markets in Suffolk and Nassau counties.

Job Description
We are seeking a Farmers Market Assistant Manager to join our team for the 2026 market season. This part-time, seasonal role supports the Farm Manager in maintaining smooth market operations and ensuring a great customer experience. You’ll be involved in packing/loading at the farm, setting up at the market, managing retail operations, and unloading at the end of the day.
Key duties include:
Assisting with packing and loading produce for markets
Setting up and managing the market booth, including customer service
Ensuring accurate pricing, USDA-compliant signage, and inventory management
Supporting POS system functionality and customer transactions
This position runs from June to October, Saturdays/Sundays, 15-25 hours per week. Pay is $25-$28 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma
Strong conversational skills
1-2 years experience in food systems
Availability on weekends and holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving large vehicles (Sprinter Van, Box Truck)
Organic farming experience
Retail experience
Passion for high-quality, fresh ingredients
Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
