Our 40-acre working farm is dedicated to connecting the community with agriculture through hands-on learning, sustainable farming practices, and farm-based programs for children and families. In addition to our educational programs, we operate a small farm market and raise a variety of livestock while growing vegetables and flowers using regenerative methods. Market Gardener
Perch Farm Foundation
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
After farm closes for the season hours will change 8:00am-4:00pm
Pay: Starting at $19/hour with salary opportunities after 6 months based on performance and experience.
Position Overview
Perch Farm Foundation is seeking a dedicated, hardworking Market Gardener to join our farm team. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone who loves working outdoors, growing foodand flowers, and being part of a dynamic regenerative farm environment.
Responsibilities
• Planting, cultivating, harvesting, and washing produce
• Flower production: seeding, transplanting, harvesting, bouquet prep, and field maintenance
• Bed preparation and seasonal crop transitions
• Weed management and pest monitoring using regenerative practices
• Irrigation setup and maintenance
• Assist with livestock care including feeding, moving fencing, cleaning pens, and general animalchores
• Prepare for and manage Saturday Montgomery Farmers Market
• Prepare for and manage Sunday Perch Farm Market
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and growing spaces
• Assist with CSA harvests and event prep as needed
Qualifications
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working around and handling livestock
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and perform physical farm labor
• Prior farming, gardening, flower growing, or livestock experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Interest in regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systemsWhat We're Looking For

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
