Job description
Bread Obsession, a small, owner-operated artisan bakery, is on the lookout for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join our growing team. We're known for our handcrafted sourdoughs, baguettes, ryes, viennoiserie, and pastries, and we’re looking for people who share our love for traditional baking, beautiful bread and perfectly laminated croissants.
This is a hands-on role where you'll learn the entire baking and pastry making process: from feeding starters and mixing dough, to shaping, scoring, and baking loaves in our deck ovens. We offer thorough training in artisan techniques and plenty of room to grow your skills.
What You'll Do:
Shape and score dough with care and creativity
Prepare and mix ingredients with precision
Maintain our sourdough starters
Contribute to a clean, organized, and supportive kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For:
A strong work ethic with sense or urgency and a positive attitude
Artistic flair and attention to detail (you love shaping beautiful loaves!)
Comfort with early start times and weekend shifts
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
Previous commercial kitchen experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person
