True to the CSA model, today, we are proud to be one of the oldest CSA's in the country with approximately 300 members supporting our sustainable farming practices.
Job description
This position involves all aspects of growing diversified vegetables for a 300+ member CSA. The job candidate will be part of a farm team tasked with growing weekly farm shares from seed to harvest which includes:
working as part of the farm team utilizing sustainable, organic agricultural methods with crop planning and harvesting schedules, irrigation practices, tending to field and greenhouse crops with seeding, watering, thinning, potting up, and weeding, using appropriate tools and equipment to efficiently complete tasks, proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of tools, harvesting and preparing produce for weekly member distribution, assisting with community and volunteer programs at the farm, lead work groups in the field completing crop maintenance and harvesting.
Applicants must have some experience working in agriculture or an associated field, some experience with hand and power tools, and some familiarity with organic practices. Be physically fit, able to stand, bend, kneel, and squat for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in all weather conditions.
Work is 40-50 hours Monday-Friday, with some seasonal Saturday morning work (mostly in May and June), and weekend chores on a rotational basis. Shared housing with a private bedroom in a historic farmhouse on the farm is available. Hourly pay is $17-$20 based on experience and housing needs

this position is: hourly, $15.49 - 20/hr
