Oregon Road Organics is a certified organic specialty produce farm located in Cutchogue on Long Island’s North Fork. Founded in 2019, we are a family owned and operated farm. Since our founding, we have expanded to grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables. Our farm operates with a commitment to sustainable, healthy practices including crop rotation, cover cropping, and Integrated Pest Management.
We sell wholesale organic produce across Long Island and Brooklyn, run a CSA program with around 150 families, and participate in several community Farmers Markets in Suffolk and Nassau counties.

Farm Manager (Organic Compliance Focus) – Oregon Road Organics
Oregon Road Organics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Manager to lead our certified organic wholesale program, with a strong emphasis on organic compliance.
We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Organic Compliance
Maintain meticulous seed-to-sale records and all required documentation in accordance with NOP standards to ensure USDA Certified Organic compliance
Ensure proper labeling and packaging of wholesale produce
Track all key production data, including seed purchases, planting, transplanting, harvest, and sales dates
Document all organic treatments applied to crops
Successfully pass in/out balance audits and seed-to-sale traceability audits conducted by the USDA
Coordinate with organizations such as NOFA-NY, Cornell, and FSA to strengthen organic recordkeeping systems
Wholesale Program Management
Communicate weekly availability and pricing to existing wholesale clients
Maintain and grow relationships through ongoing sales and outreach
Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and to quality standards
Utilize Zoho CRM to send invoices and track payments
Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely client payments
Packing House Operations
Maintain adequate inventory of packing supplies (boxes, bags, gloves, containers, etc.)
Oversee harvest coordination for wholesale, CSA, and farmers market channels to ensure quality and timing standards are met
Supervise wash/pack team and clearly communicate daily priorities
Coordinate with delivery drivers and assist with loading, fueling, and basic vehicle maintenance as needed
Operations & Logistics
Purchase seeds, supplies, and equipment as needed
Coordinate with the Field Manager to align harvests with CSA, wholesale, and farmers market demand
Assist with operating farmers markets on a bi-weekly basis
Qualifications
Experience in farm and/or crop management, preferably within certified organic systems
Strong understanding of organic certification requirements and compliance processes (NOFA experience a plus)
Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Zoho) and POS systems (e.g., Square)
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and may be structured as either hourly or salaried:
$65,000–$70,000 annually for a full-time salaried position
