Company description
Unified Ferments is a Brooklyn-based producer of non-alcoholic fermented teas, founded in 2019 by two long-time friends, Graham Pirtle and Young Stowe. After spending many years working and learning in the beverage industry in NYC – including time spent curating tea-based cocktail omakases at a teahouse – their interests in both tea and fermentation grew, and Unified Ferments was born.
Each bottle showcases a unique, single-varietal tea from an individual producer. By paying a great deal of attention to the teas themselves, and the complexity of the agriculture behind them, they use the fermentation process to take things to the next level and bring out the unique structure and depth held in each leaf or flower.
Their mission is to present artfully crafted, curated, yet approachable bottles that are stemware friendly, and *incidentally* non-alcoholic. In their words: “It’s not a health drink, it’s not kombucha, it’s not non-anything. It’s just good, or so we hope, and we hope you feel the same.”
