Pantry Stocking Associate
Pixie Scout Workplace Food Services: Etsy (Full-Time, Onsite)
Pixie Scout is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented food professional for a Pantry Stocking Associate role, as part of our Workplace Food Services team at Etsy.
Pixie Scout prepares and serves a range of breakfast and lunch items for Etsy employees, served in “grab-and-go” and buffet-style services, as well as operating a building-wide Pantry Program that offers a wide variety of snacks and beverages. We work in well-appointed kitchens and servery spaces in Etsy’s green, bright, and modern offices in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
As a member of the Pantry Stocking team, you’ll be working alongside our Culinary Production team and Facilities, Inventory and Receiving team to ensure the smooth and successful operation of our food services at Etsy.
Duties include:
Keeping shelves, dispensers and fridges fully stocked with pantry products
Communicating frequently with managers, and responding quickly to time-sensitive pantry tasks
Assessing “best by” dates and rotating products as needed
Brewing coffee throughout the day such that it is fresh and continually available
Replacing kegs and CO2 canisters as needed
Running daily cleaning cycles on coffee machines
Keeping all service spaces and service equipment clean and tidy
Inventorying, rotating, and reporting stock level information to managers to support proper inventory management

Communicative – you are able to follow instructions; communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth service, and are ready to ask questions and ask for help when needed.
Clean and fastidious – you are diligent about proper hygiene and maintaining clean, orderly facilities; familiar with and compliant to DOHMH standards and policies; and detail-oriented in the execution of tasks.
Self-motivated – you are able to independently identify and prioritize tasks; comfortable working with and without direct supervision; motivated to move through tasks quickly; flexible and adaptable in technique and workflow so as to “work smart, not hard”.
Punctual and present – you begin your workday with an eagerness to stay on top of, and even get ahead of, the stocking schedule and service flow.
Professional and supportive – you demonstrate professionalism and respect in and out of the kitchen at all times as a representative of Pixie Scout; you treat team members with care, and seek out ways to help and support your team.
Job requirements:
1+ years of relevant professional experience (in food retail, hospitality work, and/or culinary work)
A desire to learn and grow as a member of the food team
Understanding and adherence to NYC DOHMH standards and policies (Food Protection Certificate preferred)
Able to stand for at least 8 hours and complete tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
Job details:
Full-Time positions available (8-hour shifts no earlier than 7 AM and no later than 6 PM, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week)
Starting pay: $21.63/hr
