I started this business (hi, I'm Jacob) in January 2025. I felt that everyone knows and remembers pizzabagels fondly, but there's a lot of room to improve, especially in NYC - the home of bagels AND pizza! :)
After a few months of popups and events we started a sister brand, Littlebagel, serving bagels, spreads, and sandwiches at farmers markets. We started with 1 market location and are expanding this season to 5 markets every weekend.
Job description
Run a farmers market stand! And eat delicious bagels while doing so. We're seeking a market associate with food prep experience and a friendly attitude be at the register and/or prepare bagel sandwiches. Similar to a barista, but in a fun environment that encourages community building and chitchatting with customers - and it's bagels instead of coffee :)
Average take-home pay (incl. tips): $200-$250 ($17-19/hr DOE + tips)

Saturday:
- Pleasantville Farmers Market (Westchester)
- Morningside Park (NYC)
- Fort Greene Park (Brooklyn)
Sunday:
- Battery Park City (NYC)
- Jersey City Heights (NJ)
Staff living in NYC and working the Westchester/NJ markets can be driven to the event with our equipment drop off.
Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays, ~7:30am - 2pm
Perfect if you enjoy working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and take pride in serving high-quality food with a smile. You're responsible for booth setup and breakdown, preparing orders, engaging with customers, and driving sales through friendly and knowledgeable service. It's always 2 people at every stand - so you and a co-worker!
Warning: our bagels are popular! There's often a line from opening until sellout, 4 or 5 hours later. You have to be go-go-go during that time
Requirements
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- Confident knife skills to slice bagels (cut knife provided).
- Ability to be on your feet and active for up to 8 hours, per shift.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, wind, and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to lift 30-40 lbs if needed
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings (7:30am or earlier start times).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
- Food Handler’s Certification - if you don't know what this is, Google it! You can get this after accepting the job.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $17.00 - $19.00
