I started this business (hi, I'm Jacob) in January 2025. I felt that everyone knows and remembers pizzabagels fondly, but nobody's making them today and the freezer aisle is full of, let's be honest, crappy quality products.
There's a lot of room to improve this, especially in NYC - the home of bagels AND pizza! :)
After a few months of popups and events we started a sister brand, Littlebagel, serving bagel, spreads, and sandwiches at farmers markets. We started with 1 and are expanding this season to 5 locations every weekend.
We've done food popups, festivals, catering, and more so far, but are headed to grocery store freezer aisles (CPG) in 2026!
Job description
We're seeking an experienced baker to run the bulk of our bagel production. This role is perfect for early birds that enjoy high volume production, rolling bagels, and a bit of culinary creativity as needed. You'll be baking for both our frozen pizza bagels for grocery stores and our weekend farmer's market bagel stand.
We're a mix of wholesale and direct-to-customer, but we're much more 'let's make 2000 delicious and pretty bagels' than 'let's decorate 100 beautifully delicate pastries'.

Location: Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY. Off the A/C. We work in a big commercial kitchen with good equipment and a massive dishwasher.
Schedule: Full-time starting mid-late April, part-time while onboarding. Saturday and Sunday start time as early as 3AM.
Pay: $25-$29/hr depending on your experience
Responsibilities:
- Rolling thousands of bagels! We have a 60qt spiral mixer (>50lbs flour at a time), a dough divider, a proofer, and lots of other fun equipment to make it easier. You will need to learn how to hand-roll bagels. It's not too hard :)
- Prepping varied cream cheeses, spreads, and other items for our bagel shop/stand at farmers markets
- Assembling mini bagels and sauces for our frozen pizzabagels, and packaging them up in boxes
- Supervise a small team (1-3 people) of baking assistants
- Set bagel stand menu with founder each week, including monthly specials
Requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including patience and team guidance (Experienced Baker)
- Comfortable producing a lot of food at a high level of quality, with a team to help
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+ (flour, etc).
- Dependable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
- Baking experience (3 years+)
- You’re eager for responsibility, to learn, and to lead your own small team
- A love for or interest in all things bagels!
- You walk the line between being creative and an ability to produce at a high volume

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $25.00 - $29.00
