Company description
UpRoot is a newly launched communications hub dedicated to reclaiming the story of our food from Big Ag. We are a fiscally sponsored project of EarthShare, a 501(c)(3) organization.
By using social media and research on how people think, we work with everyday heroes--like doctors, farmers, parents, and more--to build power and lead the way to a healthier, more honest food system.

- Analytics: Monitor performance, track engagement, and adjust strategies based on data.
On-Camera Brand Ambassador
- Hosting: Act as a consistent face for UpRoot by hosting various videos.
- Education: Deliver policy breakdowns and create introduction/explainer content.
- Newsroom Mentality: Provide rapid response content to relevant breaking news.
- Output: Product approximately 4 videos per week.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 or more years of social media experience, preferably within the advocacy or nonprofit sectors, but other experience including building a personal social media brand will be considered.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in video editing, scripting, content strategy, and email marketing with a willingness to learn and adapt to the latest tools.
- Communication: Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with the skill to explain complex policy topics simply.
- Presence: Comfortable and authentic on-camera.
