Agi's Counter is a Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded neighborhood restaurant in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Chef-owner Jeremy Salamon — a James Beard Award finalist — serves modern Hungarian, Jewish, and Eastern European-inspired cuisine out of a 25-seat café. Named after Jeremy's Hungarian grandmother, the restaurant has been recognized by Bon Appétit (Best New Restaurants 2022), the Michelin Guide, the New York Times, Food & Wine, Forbes, and The New Yorker. We opened in 2021, published a cookbook with Harper Collins in 2024, and continue to grow. We're a small, tight-knit team that takes our food seriously and takes care of our people.
Job description
Agi's Counter, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded restaurant in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, is hiring across our kitchen team. We're looking for experienced, reliable people who take pride in their work and want to be part of a team that holds itself to a high standard.
Open Positions:
Cook — Full-time or Part-time — Starting at $20/hr
Lead Line Cook — Full-time — Starting at $23/hr
Sous Chef — Full-time — Starting at $75,000/year
What we're looking for across all positions:
Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant experience with solid tenure at previous jobs. You show up on time, take feedback well, and work hard without being asked. You have professional references from restaurant employers.
Lead Line Cook and Sous Chef candidates also need 5+ years in the industry, previous kitchen leadership experience, and a current NYC Food Handler's Card.

Compensation
