Job description
We are currently looking for a full-time Inventory Specialist to work 5 days per week Thursday through Monday - weekends included. Starting pay is $18-20/hour, depending on experience.
The Inventory Specialist will be a part of our Gathering Team and the majority of your time (~70%) will be spent with the Gathering Team Members assembling ready-to-cook recipe kits. Duties will include portioning pantry staples and fresh local food, individually packaging raw meats in cryo-vak bags, carefully packing the meals with an eye for quality, then preparing individual orders for delivery.
As an Inventory Specialist there will be duties beyond the Gathering Team Member duties and those will likely be ~ 30% of your time. The Inventory Specialist role will be responsible for helping manage stock of recipe ingredients (including items in our pantry, walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer), supporting stock transfers for retail outlets, supporting stock for our ‘local market’ and packaging needs.
Note: there is a large emphasis on our frozen meat inventory and will require work in our walk-in freezer (we have freezer suits!).
Inventory Specialists Duties will include:
- stock rotation & organization in the walk-in freezer, walk-in cooler and pantry
- Receiving and putting up deliveries
- Weekly rotation of product for use in meal kits including pulling products to be used and returning them to inventory at the end of the week.
- Taking weekly inventories and larger physical inventories as needed
- Pulling and preparing local market products and meal kits being used at retail stall, farmers markets and events
- Assisting in delivery day management on Sundays, Mondays & Thursdays and acting as interim supervisor when the delivery day manager is out of the office.
- Supporting and assisting with our local market inventories and weekly pulls
- Supporting and assisting with packaging inventories and ordering
- Supporting in product and grocery pick ups as needed
- Supporting and assisting in our meat packing process
Ability to lift, bend and work in varied temperature zones is necessary.
Experience packing CSAs and/or food prep experience are helpful, but are not necessary.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
