Company description
We are a small, diversified farm growing 1 1/2 acres of MOFGA-certified organic vegetables with another 1/2 acre of land in cover crop rotation. Alongside our annual vegetable production, the farm also has a couple young peach and apple orchards, perennial flower, herb and fruit plantings. We use minimal mechanical tillage on the farm, we cultivate diversity with living pathways and beneficial plantings, we keep the soil full of growing plants as much as possible, and we use ergonomic, human-scale labor to keep us connected with the land we are working on every day.

We have openings for multiple positions ranging from 16-32 hours per week. May-September, daily hours are 7-3:30.
Job Description:
Farm crew will be involved in all aspects of farm production throughout the season, including:
- seeding in the greenhouse
- field/tunnel bed preparation and transplanting
- crop care including weeding, trellising, fertilizing, watering crops
- harvesting, washing, and packing produce
- perennial crop care including mulching/watering fruit trees and weeding/mulching raspberry, flower and herb plantings.
- Also, this is not required, but there will likely be opportunities to assist us with woodlot management, firewood processing, and/or mushroom log inoculation if interested
Job Requirements - Our ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Punctuality and good time-management skills
- Great communication skills including following directions, receiving and implementing feedback, and the ability to work respectfully with others
- Attention to detail
- Willing to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bend/squat, work on your feet for the majority of the day, do repetitive tasks, and generally being comfortable in a fast-paced, physical work environment
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $16.50 - $18.00
