Job description
Husmann Hollow Flower Farm (HHFF) is seeking a highly reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Delivery Driver to complete a dedicated route to and from the New York City Wholesale Flower District. This position requires late evening availability with occasional very early morning availability. The driver will use a company-provided vehicle to drive floral product from our farm in Livingston, NY to Manhattan, and is responsible for the careful loading and unloading of all flowers. This is usually a 5-6 hour shift and is done 2x a week: Monday late evenings or Tuesday early mornings, and Wednesday late evenings or Thursday early mornings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe transport of flowers from our location to the NYC Wholesale Flower District
- Load and secure all items carefully to maintain product quality during transit
- Unload floral product upon arrival at destination
- Keep the van clean and report any maintenance issues promptly
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required to fulfill job duties
- Strong attention to detail and responsibility
- Exceptional reliability and punctuality —this role requires adhering to a set schedule
- Primary availability for late evening shifts (including dusk and post-dusk start times)
- Occasional availability for early morning shifts (including ~2am start times)
- Comfortable driving into New York City and navigating early morning traffic conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous delivery or driving experience would be ideal
- Experience driving a cargo van
- Familiarity with NYC routes and the Wholesale Flower District
Working Conditions:
- Early morning or late evening 2x a week route into New York City
- Single-stop delivery (one business in the wholesale flower district)
- Driving a company-provided van (no personal vehicle required)
Compensation & Benefits:
- $150 fixed rate per delivery
- Complimentary flowers available to employees
