Company description
Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center is a seed-to-mouth venture founded in 2005 in Brooklyn, NY. Today Ger-Nis operates remotely with a base in wine country. The company works at the intersection of global organic farming, the US retail market, and the culinary aspect of eating; connecting organic farmers and eaters through sales & marketing, education, and storytelling.
Ger-Nis builds modern brands for farms — keeping them appealing to fast changing consumers and rooted in sustainable success for farming communities.
Services include sales, new business development, brand identity, marketing, PR, recipe creation, writing/storytelling, photography/videography, and consumer-driven commodity education and merchandising design and execution.
Fresh herbs are where the Ger-Nis story started — and remain a defining passion and focal point. Through the Herbal Roots brand and the founder's ongoing work as a culinary herb expert, the company continues to support herb-focused culinary ventures across food writing, hands-on education, and beyond.

Graphic design has been one of Ger-Nis's power moves since the beginning — utilizing the creativity of clever, modern thinking designers to highlight the work for small to medium global organic farmers. We offer continuous, evolving work for the farmers and the designers. The ethos is consistent: organic, sustainable, fairly traded, and or local. It's good work to be rooted in at any part of the chain and it was built that way.
We offer competitive pay and flexibility of hours, timing, tools. We could have outsourced this abroad or to AI a long time ago — but we believe deeply in the power of a dynamic seed to mouth supply chain, and that belief extends to art and visual. Creativity in every link, strengthens the chain.
