Job description
Paikka utilizes an organic, regeneratively grown flour from Idaho. We also operate an onsite farm that provides us seasonal, organic ingredients.
The Role
We are looking for a Head Baker to lead our sourdough production. This role involves managing the daily schedule of mixing, shaping, baking and maintaining the starter Tuesday-Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily sourdough production, including mixing, shaping, and baking.
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment
- Work on prep projects with a team
- Inventory management
- Cooking while open to public
Qualifications
- 2-5 years commercial kitchen experience, baking experience ideal but not required.
- Team-player and community minded, all people in the team work together and support one another in the kitchen
- Passion for ingredient driven menu and sustainable food systems
- MUST be reliable and able to stand 6-8 hours a day, and handle 50 lbs
- MUST be open to working weekends and special events

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $19.00 - $22.00
