Company description
Quarter Acre Farm is a small, family-run vegetable farm in Greensboro, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore near the Choptank River. Andrea Davis-Cetina started the farm in 2008, and since 2021 it has been rooted in its permanent home on 12 acres of sandy soil in Caroline County where the growing is good. The farm is owned and operated by Andrea, the farmer, and her husband Juan Carlos, the chef.
We are certified organic, so no herbicides, synthetic chemicals, or anything harmful is ever applied to the land. We farm on a small scale and do most of our work by hand, which means the work is real, physical, and satisfying. We specialize in heirloom tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, sweet potatoes, garlic, and a wide range of vegetable seedlings, grown in our half-acre field and 560 square foot greenhouse.
In 2019 we expanded to create Quarter Acre Farm EATS, where Juan Carlos puts his culinary talents to work making delicious prepared food using fresh ingredients. At the Easton Farmers' Market you will find made-to-order breakfast tacos and quesadillas alongside freshly made pico de gallo, guacamole, and lemonade.
From April through December we are at the Easton Farmers' Market every Saturday, and we have built a strong local following with many devoted customers who come back week after week.
We are a team that works hard, looks out for each other, and genuinely loves what we do. If that sounds like your kind of place, we hope you will apply.
