Beaujolais is a family-owned restaurant property in the historic Village of Mendocino on the rugged and remote Northern California coast. The fine dining Cafe Beaujolais made the property a culinary destination as a trailblazer in farm to table cuisine since 1968.

More recently, the Beaujolais property has expanded to include the Brickery and Waiting Room -- a brick oven pizzeria serving our garden area and an artisan coffee shop and tap beer lounge open 7am-9pm. Community is at the heart of the Beaujolais mission, and the property offerings include something for everyone, luring tourists and locals alike.

Cuisine is classic yet innovative, with a focus on from-scratch cooking and baking. We have an on-site vegetable garden and bee hives. We also partner with local farmers, foragers, and ranchers in sourcing our menu ingredients whenever possible, and showcase local artists in our spaces, from photographs in the dining room, to art in the entry, garden murals and dinnerware by local ceramicists.

Make the best pizza around!

We are looking for a qualified pizzaiolo to join our fantastic Brickery team. Work in a fast-paced, order-at-the-window-style garden-facing pizzeria. You will cook in a hand-crafted brick oven making artisan pizza with from-scratch, seasonal ingredients, often from local farms.

This position includes pizza prep, cooking and creation. You will work in a team-environment with a second pizzaiolo and your front of house staff to optimize the guest experience -- high-end, delicious, yet relaxed and welcoming. You will also organize, inventory and stock pizza ingredients, as well as be responsible for the cleanliness of your station.

Must have experience in kitchen prep, the ability to lift 50 pounds, a strong back for bending to access the pizza oven, and an open mind. Experience in pizza making and wood fired oven control is a bonus.

Days of work are Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-6pm. The position is available immediately, minimum of three shifts per week, or up to full-time.
