Job description
Four & Twenty Blackbirds is seeking a skilled and dependable daytime baker to join our team in our Gowanus, Brooklyn wholesale production kitchen. This is a full-time position focused primarily on pie production, along with a variety of other baked goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment and takes pride in producing high-quality, handcrafted products using premium ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of pies, including both custard and fruit-based recipes
Operate and manage multiple ovens simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality
Jump into production as needed to prepare fillings, doughs, and other components
Assist in the production of additional baked goods as needed
Maintain consistency and quality in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Follow established recipes and production processes with precision
Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations
Work collaboratively within an existing production line
Qualifications:
Prior professional baking experience is required
Strong ability to produce custard and fruit pies with consistency and accuracy
Proven ability to manage multiple ovens at once in a high-volume setting
Experience preparing doughs and fillings from scratch
Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment
Passion for high-quality, handcrafted baked goods
Schedule Requirements:
Full-time daytime hours
Weekend availability is required
