Vancouver Farmers Market Association is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder and community connector with a growth focused mindset who can continue the organization’s momentum in supporting healthy, thriving communities by investing in small businesses, public spaces, and regional food systems.
Job Summary:
The Executive Director is the senior staff position of Vancouver Farmers Market (VFM) and has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the organization’s operations, programmatic, and community development work. This position has a high degree of visibility within the community and industry and will often serve as the face of the organization to partners and supporters. Alongside the board of directors, the Executive Director leads planning and strategy efforts and ensures those plans are executed effectively through the VFM’s many operations and programs. The Executive Director must work independently and with limited oversight while leading a team of full and part-time staff as well as volunteers and contractors.
