Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized individual to assist our Project Manager (PM) in handling our installation pipeline. Our PM creates and manages our installation pipeline; estimating, procurement, schedules for multiple crews, client communication, and post job data. We run a tight ship and use a combination of landscaping operations software and Google Workspace to make that possible. Your project management experience, your organizational skills, your can-do attitude and love for problem solving and innovation will be an asset to success in this role, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for our crews. The specific tasks and responsibilities for this position may evolve over time to meet office needs.
Assistant Project Manager will report directly to the Project Manager, with oversight from upper management as needed.
This is a growth position as we hope to expand the number of installation crews we are operating. The right individual will grow into a secondary PM position, independently managing an additional set of projects and crews.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Project Planning:
- Understand project requirements and sequencing needs.
- Assist in mapping out project schedules considering project sequencing, and staffing and resource allocation. Track progress, anticipate needs, and help resolve any issues during the project.
- Assist PM with materials ordering, scheduling, and organization, including perennial orders, bulk materials, specialty materials and others.
- Coordinate with designers, crew, and client to ensure seamless communication through project completion.
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Learn our estimating systems and installation capabilities to help prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for garden installations. This may include time in the field.
- Assist with timely data collection and entry important for productivity targets and helping keep our product offerings up to date in company software.
- Operational Strategy and Planning:
- We are a collaborating team and encourage everyone to come forward with ideas and innovations to help improve our processes.
- Maintain current systems with up-to-date data
- Vendor and Client Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships and rapport with vendors and clients
- Address client concerns promptly and with care, troubleshoot tricky situations ensuring high levels of satisfaction with our services.
- Foster positive relationships with team members, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to safely do strenuous activities- bending and lifting- in high heat environments.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Expertise in construction or landscaping, with a strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and landscaping principles is a major plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace suite
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with enterprise software, CRMs is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
- Schedule: 7:30 AM-6 PM, Monday - Thursday (mid February - November)
- Mid-season start times may vary and can be earlier due to weather
- Winter schedule 8:30 AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday
- Rate commensurate with experience, starting at $24- $28/hr

Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $24.00 - $28.00
