We are hiring a part-time Farm Assistant at TILL Farms in Westborough. This is a unique farming and teaching opportunity for someone who wants to work in the fields AND support our farmer interns, who have autism or learning differences. You’ll perform typical farming responsibilities – preparing soil, planting, harvesting, equipment upkeep – and lead and educate individuals and small groups about farming practices. Essential Job Functions:
Perform the physical labor of field preparation, planting, cultivating, weeding, mulching, etc.
Perform general farm upkeep.
Perform basic tool and equipment maintenance.
Follow farm safety, food safety, farm sanitation, and emergency procedures. Lead and educate visiting groups about farming practices.
Qualifications:
Ability to do manual labor and work outdoors.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as with a team.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work weekends as needed.
Driver’s license and reliable vehicle required to fulfill job duties..
