Our kitchen is grounded in a seasonal, farm-driven approach, with a focus on thoughtfully sourced ingredients, simple preparations, and menus that reflect the rhythms of the Hudson Valley.
We are seeking a Line Cook with a focus on breakfast service and Sunday brunch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a calm but detail-oriented morning service, takes pride in consistency and craftsmanship, and is excited to work with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Job description
The Line Cook will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to execute a refined but approachable breakfast menu for hotel guests, as well as a more expansive, high-touch brunch service on Sundays. Responsibilities include station setup and organization, precise and timely execution of dishes, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and contributing to a collaborative and respectful kitchen culture.
This is a hands-on role with a meaningful impact on the guest experience—often the first meal of the day and a defining part of a guest’s stay. We are looking for someone who values seasonality, enjoys working with whole ingredients, and brings care and intention to even the simplest dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute breakfast and brunch service with consistency, speed, and attention to detail
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications
- Complete daily prep tasks (mise en place, batch prep, basic butchery, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen at all times
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and storage protocols
- Support dish washing and general kitchen cleanliness as needed
- Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries
- Communicate clearly with front-of-house and kitchen team members
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
