SECOND NATURE REFILLERY in the beautiful Hudson Valley is looking for the perfect match to continue our mission to reduce single-use waste and serve our community healthier options for their homes & families! Our focus is on building strong partnerships with other small businesses that supply our superior product line, including the local farms & orchards, personal care makers, artisans, and home cleaning manufacturers with refillable, closed-loop models.
We need a highly detail-oriented, energetic, and strong (able to lift 50lbs) employee with excellent customer service skills. The Refillery offers a unique shopping experience, and each visitor requires personalized attention.
The perfect candidate will have retail experience with a modern POS, be friendly & outgoing to interact with diverse personalities, be able to think on their feet when issues arise, be alert to keeping a squeaky-clean space, and be a flexible team player. Educating consumers is a big part of what we do, so gaining product knowledge and sharing those details is essential!
We are open every day, and the most immediate need would be for a Mon, Wed, Fri schedule, from 10:30am til 7:00pm. Once fully trained (approx 2-3 wks), a minimum of 3 weekend days per month are required, from approx 9:30am til 4:30-5:30pm, and those specific days will be flexible (ie, 1st Sat, 2nd & 4th Sun).
Daily duties include assisting customers with scales, refills & check-out; restocking bulk bins; prepping fresh produce & keeping it filled; washing & organizing dishes; cleaning & sanitizing shared utensils; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming as needed during day and at closing; accepting deliveries, sorting, and pricing inventory; plus other random chores as they arise to keep the operation running smoothly.
