Big Little Pies is a woman-owned bakery based out of Commonwealth Kitchen in Boston that specializes in making mini pies that are as delicious as they are adorable. Each and every one of our personal pies is made by hand using only simple ingredients, starting with our all butter crust to our our real fruit fillings. Our pies are made with love… and butter.

Job description

We're looking for help making our mini pies! The bakery production assistant will work with me, the owner of Big Little Pies, to meet the production demands of my business. Tasks include:

• Prepping the space and materials - Since Big Little Pies is based in a shared production facility, we need everything in the right place and condition before production can begin.
• Making pies! This includes making dough, shaping dough, filling pies, making crumble topping, and baking pies.
• Cleaning - Not the most glamorous part of the job, but a reality of working in a kitchen, This includes dishes and the production space.

Our primary production days are Mondays and Fridays, with time added throughout the week as needed. We're looking for someone to start as soon as possible!

The right person for the job:

• Can reliably make it to Commonwealth Kitchen in Dorchester Mondays and Fridays.
• Has a can-do attitude and is excited to learn.
• Does not need prior professional kitchen experience, although it is a plus.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
