Job Description: Floor Manager, Vizz Group
About Vizz Group
Vizz Group is built around the belief that great restaurants are driven by strong leadership, high standards, genuine hospitality, and teams that are invested in what they are building together. We are currently operating two high-volume restaurants in New York City—Grand Brasserie and Centrale—with active plans for continued growth and expansion. While each concept has its own identity, they are all connected by a shared commitment to hospitality, culture, consistency, and operational excellence.
As a growing hospitality group, we offer a unique environment for managers and leaders who are energized by being part of something that is actively evolving. We believe the best ideas, strongest leaders, and most meaningful contributions come from teams that are directly involved in the growth of the business and can see the impact of their work in real time.
Management within our group is highly active and leadership oriented. We look for leaders who are adaptable, solutions-oriented, and excited by ambitious scope and opportunities for growth. Success within our group requires more than the ability to manage a floor. Managers are expected to drive teams, mentor staff, coach in real time, and constantly course correct while maintaining the standards and pace of a high-volume operation. Hospitality here is not passive. It is energetic, engaged, detail-oriented, and deeply connected to both guest experience and team development.
We also believe hospitality and salesmanship go hand in hand. Managers are expected to help teams develop confidence in guiding the guest experience while supporting the overall success of the business through strong communication, awareness, and professionalism. Most importantly, our managers are supported. Senior leadership is actively involved in mentorship, development, and operational guidance to ensure managers have the tools, structure, and support necessary to grow and succeed within the organization.
Job description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Floor Manager who thrives in dynamic, high-energy restaurant environments and who genuinely enjoys leading people. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is energized by the rhythm of busy service, passionate about developing teams, and motivated to create consistently strong guest experiences. The right candidate understands how to lead with presence, communicate clearly, and maintain standards while managing the tempo and complexity of a high-volume operation. They know how to create accountability without losing warmth, and how to motivate teams toward both hospitality and performance. Whether focused on staff development, service standards, guest relations, or operational flow, our managers actively shape the culture and direction of the floor each day.
What You’ll Do
Floor Managers within our group lead with energy, focus, urgency, and professionalism from the moment they walk into the building. This is a highly active leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where managers consistently drive both hospitality and performance throughout the course of service.
On a daily basis, Floor Managers oversee a defined zone of the restaurant and are responsible for the teams operating within that zone. This includes actively monitoring service standards, guest interaction, salesmanship, pacing, communication, and overall execution while coaching and adjusting in real time and continuously developing their team through feedback, accountability, and leadership. This means ensuring that staff are aligned with the restaurant’s steps of service, hospitality standards, pacing, guest volume, and sales expectations.
Communication and alignment with senior leadership are also a key part of the role. Floor Managers work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager throughout service, providing real-time updates on the performance of their section, operational challenges, guest experience, staffing needs, and opportunities for improvement.
Administratively, Floor Managers operate as departmental leaders within the organization. Depending on assigned department, responsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, team development, and oversight of controllable expenses associated with that department. Managers are expected to take ownership of their area and contribute to the long-term growth, organization, and consistency of the operation.
