Baldwin Farm provides an authentic farm-to-table experience. We raise cattle, pigs, chickens, and turkeys, which we sell as cuts and as value-added items like sausages, pot pies, soups, and broths through our farm store. Seasonally, we open our bistro to serve up smashburgers, smoked and fried chicken, hand-cut fries and more, all featuring the highest quality ingredients.
Job description
Strategic Work:
1. Work with our Executive Chef to develop seasonal bistro menus
2. Work with our Executive Chef to develop weekly specials
3. Maintain awareness of what other bistros are doing to ensure a “fresh and relevant” approach
Tactical Work:
1. Operate the food truck kitchen at least 4-5 lunches and dinners per week from May to Columbus Day. This will flex during the busiest part of the season.
2. Train and manage the finish chef in all operations of the kitchen to ensure redundancy
3. Coordinate with Farm manager to ensure sufficient inventory of meat products for the season (no meat products from other sources may be used)
4. Ensure the availability of all menu items by submitting orders for all non-farm ingredients and supplies to our assistant.
5. Coordinate updates and changes to the digital menu board and online ordering with our assistant.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
