Chef Diego Moya is the Executive Chef, an ingredient-driven, wood-fired restaurant. Known for his deeply seasonal, vegetable-forward cooking and thoughtful approach to sustainability, Moya brings a global perspective shaped by time in the kitchens of Astrid y Gastón (Lima), Nahm (Bangkok), Le Comptoir and L’Arpège (Paris), and Casa Mono (NYC).

SERVER ASSISTANT — LITTLE MOUNTAIN | MONTECITO, CA
Little Mountain is a wood-fired kitchen rooted in Montecito's coastal culture, recognized by the California Michelin Guide within our first six months of opening. We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our dining room team in a back server and food runner capacity — someone who takes pride in the details and genuinely loves being part of a great meal.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver our dishes with confidence, bringing real knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and where they come from
- Reset tables with care and an eye for detail, keeping the dining room feeling fresh throughout the night
- Anticipate what the team needs — glassware, flatware, stations stocked — before anyone has to ask
- Coordinate with servers and the kitchen to keep timing sharp and service seamless
Stay attuned to the room: water refilled, plates cleared, guests looked after
- Communicate clearly with the dining room and expo to handle any hiccups gracefully
Uphold Little Mountain's standards for cleanliness, warmth, and an exceptional guest experience

EXPERIENCE

We love candidates who come from outside traditional restaurant backgrounds — farmers market vendors, winery workers, farm hands, CSA enthusiasts, home cooks obsessed with sourcing. If you have a genuine connection to where food comes from and want to be part of a team that shares it, we want to hear from you.
- Active California RBS certification required (or willingness to obtain before starting)

Compensation
