Job description
Jewish Farmer Network (JFN) seeks a thoughtful, organized, and reliable Program Manager to support and grow our national network of Jewish farmers. Working closely with the Executive Director in a two-person team, this full‑time remote role combines program logistics, community stewardship, communications, data tracking, and systems management. Strong writing, relationship-building, initiative, and attention to detail are required.
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning, Implementation & Logistics (25%)
- Support the development of JFN’s programmatic engagement strategy and calendar of events
- Plan and manage logistics for virtual and in-person programs (scheduling, material development, registrations, participant communications, etc.)
- Maintain program pages and registration systems (Wix)
Community Stewardship & Outreach (20%)
- Manage and grow the farmer/member database; conduct 1:1 outreach and occasional farm visits
- Serve as primary contact for participants, partners, and sponsors
- Cultivate subgroups and ongoing member engagement between events
Communications & Digital Community (25%)
- Maintain activity on Mighty Networks, Facebook, and Instagram; draft and schedule posts
- Write clear program descriptions, participant emails, and promotional materials
- Support email outreach and social media promotion for programs
Data, Evaluation, & Systems (20%)
- Track participation, maintain program records, and analyze survey feedback
- Manage internal systems, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Support program evaluation and continuous improvement
Partnerships & Representation (10%)
- Help steward relationships with partner organizations and sponsors
- Represent JFN at synagogues, conferences, and public events as needed

Key qualities include:
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Initiative, integrity, reliability, and comfort working in a two-person remote team
- Experience with digital tools; comfort learning new tools
- Program/project development, event planning, or nonprofit experience
- Community engagement, facilitation, or relationship management experience
- Familiarity with Jewish communal organizations and/or agriculture
- Experience with social platforms and basic data/survey analysis

Logistics & Compensation
- Reports to Executive Director
- Remote (U.S.-based); travel 7–10 times/year (conferences, farm visits)
- Full-time (35 hours/week), exempt
- Salary: $50,000–$63,000 annually (depending on experience)
- Monthly healthcare stipend; annual work-from-home stipend; professional development
Compensation
