GENERAL MANAGER / BEVERAGE DIRECTOR — RESTAURANT

Inness is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven General Manager to lead restaurant operations at our destination property in the Hudson Valley.
This role is ideal for a dynamic hospitality leader with a strong background in both restaurant management and beverage programming. The General Manager / Beverage Director will oversee daily operations while also curating and managing a thoughtful wine and beverage program that reflects the spirit and standards of Inness.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring active floor presence, coaching, service execution, and close collaboration with culinary and hotel leadership teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally strong, service-focused, and deeply passionate about food, wine, and hospitality culture. They lead by example, thrive in fast-paced environments, and understand how to balance elevated service standards with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing all front-of-house restaurant operations
• Leading, mentoring, hiring, and developing staff
• Driving service standards and guest satisfaction
• Managing scheduling, labor, inventory, and operational systems
• Curating and maintaining the wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage program
• Working closely with vendors, distributors, and producers
• Leading beverage education and training for the service team
• Collaborating closely with culinary and leadership teams
• Assisting with financial performance, reporting, and operational goals
• Maintaining a positive and professional culture throughout the restaurant
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience in upscale hospitality environments
• Previous beverage director, sommelier, or advanced beverage program experience preferred
• Strong wine knowledge and passion for producer-driven beverage programs
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Deep understanding of hospitality, service flow, and guest experience
• Ability to remain calm, solutions-oriented, and hands-on during service
• Passion for team culture, hospitality, and operational excellence
Preferred Experience:
• Michelin-level, luxury hotel, or destination dining experience is highly valued
• Experience managing within boutique hotels, resorts, or hospitality-driven lifestyle properties is a plus
