Myers Produce is a woman-owned regional distributor and trucking company operating out of hubs in Western Massachusetts and Northern Vermont. We offer distribution, freight, and warehousing services to farmers and producers throughout our region. We source from within the Northeast as a rule, and the majority of our sources are certified organic. We carry fresh produce, fresh fruit, eggs, meat, cheese, grains, flowers, and grocery products. Our customers are predominantly independent retail stores and restaurants in New York City, the Greater Boston Area, the Cape, and the Hudson Valley.
Job description
We are seeking a full-time Sales Manager to join our Sales Team. This position is responsible for managing active customer accounts and ensuring smooth day-to-day sales operations. The Sales Manager oversees order execution, customer communication, and inter-department coordination to support strong sales performance and customer satisfaction. Initially, this role will focus heavily on day-to-day account management and order processing. As Myers continues to expand its e-commerce capabilities, the role is expected to evolve toward more relationship-focused sales work, including customer outreach, account development, in-person visits, and support of e-commerce merchandising and customer-facing product information. This is a remote position with a few required in-person events in Hatfield, MA.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage relationships and day-to-day communication with a set of Myers Customers
- Manage all aspects of order processing for a set of Myers Customers
- Build and maintain strong buyer relationships
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to analyze customer performance
- Coordinate with the Operations Team on delivery paperwork, product quality, and logistics
- Partner with the Purchasing Team to align vendor supply with customer demand
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to support customer-facing and promotional content
- Report regularly to the Business Development Director on sales performance, customer insights, operational challenges, and progress toward company sales goals
- Maintain a strong understanding of Myers’ broader business objectives and contribute to long-term operational and sales strategy
The ideal candidate:
- Has at least two years of experience in sales or customer service.
- Has at least one year of experience working in the produce industry
- Has knowledge of produce varieties and seasonality in the Northeast
- Is detail-oriented and an excellent communicator
- Is calm and creative in a fast-paced environment
- Is focused and self-motivated in a remote office setting
- Has an appreciation for the value of local agriculture and organic produce

Commitment:
- We are looking to fill this position by July 2026
- One-year commitment required, two-year commitment preferred.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $45,000.00 - $65,000.00
