Our Chef, Chinchakriya Chaparro Un, has operated the pop-up Kreung Cambodia for the last 8 years, bringing Khmer food to every corner of NYC and representing this rich culinary tradition all over the world. Our first year as a brick and mortar has been met with great reception and accolades. We are proud of being independent, and represent our food unapologetically, as well as having high standards of sourcing, cooking technique and service.
Job description
Bong is seeking an experienced prep / line cook to join our team in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate has experience working in a high-volume kitchen and is proficient in a wide range of cooking and preparation techniques. Knowledge of Cambodian and Southeast Asian cuisine is a plus. Our kitchen team is highly motivated and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cooking, organization, and hospitality.
We are an independent, family-owned small restaurant. We have shifting seasonal menu, and our cooks are continuously learning and expanding their skill base. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual that can support their team and that believes in the impact of great cooking and service. Cambodian food lacks representation in NYC and Bong seeks to champion its rich culture and culinary tradition in the best way possible.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
