Sea & Soil is a worker-owned cooperative sandwich shop and bakery. We sell sandwiches on a sliding scale to make our food more affordable to more people while still being sustainable for us. In addition to sandwiches and bread we make cake and pastry. All of our bread and some of our pastry is naturally leavened. Beyond feeding people we are striving to build out our events programming to be a space for gathering. We are a close knit small crew!
Job description
We are a worker-owned sliding scale sandwich shop and bakery. We focus on creative seasonal sandwiches, pastry and pizza. The aim is to have every person who works at Sea&Soil; be on the track to worker-ownership. Every worker is eligible for worker-ownership after reaching a minimum days worked threshold (1 year for full time worker-owner candidates). We are a highly collaborative environment where everybody pitches in and does a bit of everything.
Job Description
- Work in a collaborative kitchen environment supporting our mission to provide quality and creative sandwiches, pizza and pastry.
- Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Collecting dishes from bus tubs throughout kitchen and dining room
- Washing dishes from prep area, kitchen FOH and dining room
- Organizing, drying and putting away dishes
- Communicating with Front and Back of House throughout the day
- Cleaning dining room and restocking napkin dispensers
- This is a part-time position with 8+ hour days Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the possibility of expanding to full time in the future.

- Ability to be on your feet for 8+hour days
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
