Company description
Row 7 is a seed-to-table company revolutionizing how we eat—and how we grow—through better-tasting vegetables. Founded by Chef Dan Barber, Row 7 works with chefs, farmers, and plant breeders to co-select new varieties in the field and kitchen. The company sells organic seeds to home gardeners and growers through its online marketplace, offers a line of branded organic vegetables in grocery stores, and introduced a line of ready-to-eat vegetables in early 2026.
Job description
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a part-time role (25 hours/week) supporting the full sales team across retail, foodservice, online, and wholesale channels. You're the execution layer at the account level — processing orders accurately, keeping communication tight, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks during our highest-volume months.
THE WORK
PO Processing
- Process purchase orders received via email and customer portals across all retail, foodservice, online, and wholesale accounts - note: Whole Foods order management is handled separately by another member of the team
- Submit bids for online accounts (e.g., Misfits Market) and track responses through to order confirmation
- Review pricing and SKU accuracy on each order
- Confirm availability, load location, and ship dates with the supply chain team
- Create and input sales orders into Aptean and send customer confirmations over email
- Resolve order issues directly with customers — pricing discrepancies, date changes, quantity adjustments
- Process rejections and credit documentation when orders are refused or returned, coordinating with supply chain and accounting teams, and communicating resolution to customers
- Attend twice-weekly calls with supply chain team to ensure in-full, on-time order management
Sample Coordination
- Submit sample requests and coordinate execution with the supply chain team
- Communicate with customers on confirmation, tracking, and delivery
- Input sample activity tracking tools; coordinate with growers as needed
WHO YOU ARE
- A strong communicator — clear, timely, and reliable with customers and internal teams alike
- Detail-oriented and highly organized — nothing slips through
- Comfortable in Google Sheets and ERP systems — you actually enjoy a good spreadsheet and pick up new tools quickly
- An executor — you like having a clear process and running it well
- Familiarity with supply chain basics is a plus — understanding how orders move from farm to customer, troubleshooting fulfillment issues with confidence, and holding your own in conversations about availability, lead times, or logistics will set you up to hit the ground running
