Five Acre Farm is an organic family farm located in Kennebunkport, Maine that has been in operation since 2003. Products grown and produced on the farm include cut flowers, organic produce, vegetables, herbs, annuals, perennials and seedlings. The farm operates a commercial kitchen which provides fresh baked pies, cookies, granola and many other baked goods. Value added items including pesto and other canned goods.

All our products are sold at our self-serve farm stand located ½ mile from the farm. All employees share responsibility to keep the stand stocked and presentable.

Job description

We are seeking a co-manager who is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient baker to assist in all aspects of our busy production bakery, preparing fresh baked items daily based on need.

Responsibilities include making from-scratch cookies, pies, and other baked goods as well as at times processing our herbs and vegetables to make pesto and other canned items.

We are looking for someone:

- who has 1-3 years professional baking experience

- is motivated, positive and forward thinker

- who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a positive attitude

- is able to operate baking equipment, follow our recipes and instructions, wrap, label and store products according to farm policies and procedures

- can lift/carry 50 pounds regularly

- can maintain consistency and quality across all products

- can monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs

- is attentive to detail and comfortable directing others on the team, once trained.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
